Simple Dessert: Peach Cobbler

What is a cobbler? Some may ask: is it the uncle who repairs shoes in the neighbourhood? Well of course not. As the title of this post goes, it’s Peach Cobbler which means that it has something to do with food which you can eat.

This is a simple go-to recipe for me whenever I have a craving for something sweet and I have all the basic ingredients needed to create this wonderful dish! #Sweet

Things you need:
Flour 1 cup
Sugar 1 cup
Milk 1 cup
Vanilla essence 2 tsp
Baking powder 1 tsp
Cinnamon powder 1 tsp

Butter 1 stick

First Step:
Pre-heat oven to 180ºC. In a small pot, melt butter till it becomes golden brown. Pour it into a baking pan and set aside.

Second Step:
Add in all the ingredients together and stir the mixture well. After that, pour this batter into the baking pan with the melted butter….DO NOT STIR.

Third step:
Arrange the peaches on the top layer of the batter and then place it into the oven for about 30-45 mins.
It is good to check every 20mins to ensure that the top do not get burned. Bake in the oven till you can no longer see any juices in the baking pan. If you are worried that the top may be burned, cover with a layer of aluminium foil while you carry on with the baking time.

The peaches will be covered by the batter naturally as it is cooking in the oven. You would accomplish also a cover of streusel which is so easy to make and delicious. Watch me attempt another pie in future!
Serving ways:
You can serve the peach cobbler with a homemade Vanilla sauce or plainly eat it just like that. Another simple way you can serve it is with melted or soft ice-cream, the taste is really a sweet galore of hot and cold inside the mouth.
