LG OLED TV Marathon Session breaks Guinness World Record

I guess some people live for challenges and prizes of course. Like in Singapore we have the Subaru Car Challenge or the 100hours movie marathon challenge and some more others. LG also registered a TV Marathon Session to break the Guinness World Record.

Five young Austrians broke the 15-month old Canadian record with their successful 92 hours TV watching marathon in Vienna from March 15-19. There was an official representative from Guinness World Records to confirm the record breaking event and presented the the 5 new recordholders their respective certificates. In addition to that, LG presented each participant with a new TV and a complimentary 12-month subscription to Sky Austria.

It sounds fascinating to me that they survived a total of 4 nights and 5 days in front of the LG OLED TV with just a 5 minutes break every hour. Hmmm it makes me think that maybe I can do that too but I won’t even try (DUH!).
But then again, LG Electronics (LG) being the sponsor of the event, constructed a living room-style studio and equipping it with reclining chairs, stationary bicycle, refrigerator and most importantly that 55-inch LG OLED TV. With such superior and enjoyable viewing experience, I am sure the participants were able to enjoy themselves accordingly.

So how about holding one in Singapore too, hmmm maybe just use on the furnished rooms in Ikea? LOL…

I can never get it, why do people participate in such events but then again, it’s all good when someone wins!
