As much as I would think that records are meant to be broken, sometimes I applaud these people who comes up with such creative proposition. So recently LG partake in another Guinness Record breaking event. This time around it was a house of cards built on running LG washing machine.
Take note, it was a running machine, not on quiet mode or sleeping mode!
Professional card stacker Bryan Berg set a new world record for the tallest house of cards (3.3 meter tall) built in 12 hours atop an LG Centum washing machine(spinning at 1,000 RPM). A little background on Bryan Berg, he began stacking cards at the age of 8, now talk about dedication. Attempting the 48-storey house using normal playing cards, it must have been a dream come true to be able to play a game while getting yourself listed in the Guinness World Record.
This is also a turning point achievement of LG who strive for innovation and consumer centric. Quoting Jo Seong-jin, CEO and president of LG Electronics Home Appliance & Air Solutions Company ” Appliances should no longer be viewed as noisy, disruptive machines but a home companion that can coexist unobtrusively in any kitchen.”
Personally, I own a washing machine brand M****(let’s not name names). For a basic machine in recent times it was already proving its worth when I realised how quiet it can get even while operating. Unless we touch the machine, I would not know that it is operating without the movement. As the market gets competitive with the different expectation of consumers, we at the end get to enjoy the best product at the end of the day.

Coupled with lesser moving parts, this also mean a longer life span of the machine due to lesser friction which is the leading cause of wear and tear in machines.
Honestly, if the machine is already here. I cannot wait to get my hands on it to try and see it at work!
