Banana Nutella Bread Pudding

I am sure that you have read posts last year in August (or whenever it was) which talked about that bad weather in Turkey (who produces majority of the world’s supply of hazelnut) affecting the production and inevitably it will hit hard on us through the shortfall of….Nutella. Yes! you heard it right we may be facing a shortage of Nutella *cue announcement* “You can shout now”#PANIC
Well, before it goes any way further downwards, we have to learn to embrace that we must not be dependant on nutella. Just remind ourselves how unhealthy, how fattening and how sweet it is..oh my goey niceness. So, in this post let me share with you one piece of sinful awesome sweet stuff 😉 Enjoy!
photo is only for illustration purpose. I did not use that many.
You may have had bread pudding and you may have had nutella spread on bread and you can eat banana all separately. But what happened if you mix all of them together. Collaboration of the year!
Mixed grain bread, four slices
Nutella, enough to spread *generously
Banana, 2 x
Eggs, 2 large eggs
Milk, 1 cup
Vanilla, 1 tsp
Sugar, 1/2 cup
Salt, a pinch
1) Heat up your oven to 250 deg for 10 mins.
2) Add in a bowl the milk, eggs, vanilla essence, salt and sugar. Stir them well together.
3) Spread Nutella on bread and fold them together before arranging them into your pan which will go into the oven. Lay a layer of sliced banana on top as well and set them aside.
4) Pour the mixture onto the bread arrangement, you can press down on the bread so that it will soak up the liquid. Place the pan into the oven for about 30 minutes. After that, extend for about another 10mins until the liquid have been well absorbed. Be careful not to burn the top layer.
Serve with a glass of coffee or tea and enjoy the lovely tea time snack! Be Happy.
