GP Management presents The Podium Lounge A-List After-Parties over the 2017 FORMULA 1 SINGAPORE AIRLINES SINGAPORE GRAND PRIX on Friday 15, Saturday 16 and Sunday 17 September from 10pm.
In its 9th consecutive year in Singapore, this sell-out, celebrity packed event returns to The Grand Ballroom of The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore, which undergoes a dramatic transformation into a glamorous ultra lounge featuring a dizzying overhead catwalk and VIP balconies offering a magical party experience with the Racing Community for up to 3,000 guests per night. The Podium Lounge Singapore follows successful star-studded events around the globe in Abu Dhabi, Monaco and Melbourne.

 The Podium Lounge is a key trackside event highlight of the 2017 Grand Prix Season Singapore and is the venue of choice for race fans keen to take in all of the high-octane action and mingle with race legends. The Podium Lounge hosts Formula 1 drivers & teams, Royalty, celebrities, ambassadors, supermodels and Asia’s jet-setting party elite each year.

Guests will be entertained by Formula 1 Legend and former Ferrari F1 Driver Giancarlo Fisichella who will be DJing and hosting the drivers, celebrity guests and performers on the red carpet alongside E! News Asia host Yvette King.

This year’s dazzling line-up features British model and rising star Pixie Geldof (third daughter of Bob Geldof and Paula Yates), who will be in Singapore for the first time ever to DJ on the Opening Night, Friday 15th September together with Giancarlo Fisichella. Pixie, who was invited to DJ at Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, is one of the hottest DJs on the global fashion circuit with annual appearances at both the London and New York Fashion Week.

On Saturday 16 September, American rapper and Grammy Award winner Coolio will perform together with his band for the first time in Singapore. As a multi-platinum selling artist and one of the most popular and successful rappers worldwide, Coolio, aka Artis Leon Ivey Jr, has sold over 30 million records globally. His 1995 hit ‘Gangsta’s Paradise’ catapulted Coolio onto the global stage, reaching #1 in the charts the USA, UK and around the world. The track received several awards including Best Rap Solo Performance at the Grammy Awards, and Best Rap Video and Best Video From A Film at the MTV Music Awards. Since his inauguration into the music industry, Coolio has produced and released five successful albums titled It Takes A thief, Gangsta’s Paradise, My Soul, El Cool Magnifico and The Return Of The Gangsta.

On Sunday 17 September, the amazing Grammy Award winning artist Macy Gray will perform her Multi-Platinum hits and also DJ following the trackside action. The American R&B, jazz and soul singer, songwriter, musician, record producer, and actress, known for her distinctive raspy voice has released six studio albums, and received five Grammy Award nominations, winning one. Macy Gray is best known for her international hit single “I Try”, taken from her multi-platinum debut album On How Life Is and is looking forward to turbo-boosting the high-octane party celebrations on Race Day.

The nightly Fashion Circuit, curated by The Yak Magazine in Bali will take place with international models across an iconic skywalk, which is custom built in collaboration with Grey Goose over the top of Singapore’s longest pop-up island bar.

From the pit lane to the catwalk and adding to the glamour of the adrenaline-filled Singapore Grand Prix weekend Mauricio Alpizar‘s new resort collection “Modern Asia” features elaborate & artistic prints with the ancient symbol of the “Snake” interweaved throughout in luxurious satin & silk viscose fabrics. The tribal feel is accentuated by Erika Peña Jewelry & Accessories which also draws inspiration from the snake, showcasing fabric sandals wrapping up the legs in skin-like metallic fabrics with dangling tassel tails and stones as well as snake-like wrap-coiled necklace pieces & matching bracelets. Art Lovers Be Spoilt
The Podium Lounge is thrilled to welcome Sundaram Tagore Gallery who will present Primary Source, an exhibition of work by famous contemporary artists from both Asia and the West who embrace traditional visual tropes and techniques rooted in their cultures as a primary source to create their own unique visual language. This presentation focuses on work by internationally acclaimed artists such as Hiroshi SenjuMiya AndoKim Joon and more.

The Podium Lounge also welcomes world famous speed painter Armin Flossdorf of F1 Arts will be performing live throughout the weekend. Having started off in Monaco, Armin’s first “Formula One – Fanatic Location” exhibition ten years ago led him to specialize in Formula 1 Art using his eye-catching technique of combining acrylics and pencil on canvas. Armin has exhibited at the very highest levels of motorsport events around the world and counts F1 Supremo Bernie Ecclestone and FIA President Jean Todt among his collectors.

Armin will be joined by Paul Oz, an explosive portrait artist from the UK focused on the maximum 3D impact and energy in thick oil paint. Paul has created work personally for Jenson Button, Lewis Hamilton, Sir Jackie Stewart, Bruno Mars to mark his 24k Magic Tour, Muhammad Ali’s 70th and for Sir Brad Wiggins to celebrate his 2012 Olympic victory. Paul has also been commissioned by Team Sky, Chelsea FC, Red Bull, Pirelli, Instituto Ayrton Senna and James Hunt’s family to mark 20 years as well as live painting engagements with Scuderia Ferrari in Monaco.


Fast Cars & Private Jets Reign Supreme

As part of the debut of the Lamborghini Aventador S in Singapore, The Podium Lounge will be showcasing 3 of the next generation Aventador super sport cars throughout the venue this year. Characterized by new aerodynamic design, redeveloped suspension, increased power and new driving dynamics, the ‘S’ is the suffix of previous enhanced Lamborghini models and defines a new benchmark for the V12 Lamborghini.

WingsOverAsia, Asia’s first private aviation social network and dedicated aviation concierge for private aircraft owners, pilots and enthusiasts, will showcase one of their latest aircrafts within their outdoor VIP experience at The Podium Lounge, right beside Formula 1 Gate 10; off-site from their 72,000 sq ft state-of-the-art purpose-build private aviation facility at Seletar, dedicated to aircraft management, maintenance and worldwide flight support services.


Inaugural Motorsport in Asia Business Forum
For the very first time and in collaboration with both Asian Motorsport Development and Winterhill Hospitality, The Podium Lounge welcomes the only motorsport business networking event in Asia, over 3 days from Friday 15 – Sunday 17 September within the Grand Ballroom of The Ritz-Carlton, Millenia Singapore. An important event for anyone involved or looking to get involved in the motorsport industry; from young karters and junior formula drivers, to professional racers, race promoters, sponsors and circuit management, you will learn about effective sponsorship, the business of F1 and motorsport in general.

Charity is always a major focus of The Podium Lounge weekend and this year will see a series of live auctions of authenticated and exceptionally rare F1 memorabilia with all proceeds going to charity. Some outstanding items include a signed, full colour lithograph by Jack Brabham Australia’s only 2-time F1 World Champion, a signed racing glove by three-time Formula 1 World Champion Lewis Hamilton, a racing helmet signed by all of the Drivers of the current 2017 Formula 1 Season, a Michael Schumacher signed F1 racing glove and a double photo piece signed by Motor Racing Royalty Nigel Mansell and much more.
